Select Mimosa, Venetian Cocktail
- Makes 1 cocktail
- Prep 5 minutes
- Total 5 minutes

Select Mimosa uses the Venetian Select apertivo, orange juice and Prosecco to create a fun, refreshing mimosa that's suited to celebrating special occasions, Salute!
Unlike Aperol or Campari Select is a bitter aperitivo you've probably never heard of. It's the bitter of choice in Venice and has such a good and unique taste.
It's made with 30 different botanicals including rhubarb roots and juniper berries and is a good mix of sweet, citrus, floral and bitter all in one.
The classic way to enjoy Select is in spritz form (see our Select Spritz) but another fun way to enjoy it is to turn it into a mimosa with fresh orange juice and bubbly Prosecco.
See the full recipe below plus some good nibbles to enjoy with your drink. The best way to experience a true Italian aperitivo!

Ingredient notes and substitutions
- Select – you'll probably need to order this online (worth it in our opinion) or you may be able to find it in an Italian speciality store. See the photo of Select above.
- Orange juice – We like to use smooth 100% orange juice. You can opt to use freshly squeezed orange juice but we recommend using a sieve to remove any 'bits'. Make sure your orange juice is chilled.
- Prosecco – make sure it's nice and cold.
Food to serve with your cocktail
It wouldn't be an Italian Aperitivo without some nibbles. See some of our suggestions below that we think would go perfectly with your Select Mimosa.
- Easy Marinated Olives – Ready In 5 Minutes
- Taralli Pugliesi (crispy bread snack)
- Italian Tuna Stuffed Cherry Peppers
- Ricotta Chicken Croquettes
