If you love an Espresso Martini you can love this creamy, festive twist.
A Macchiato in Italy is an espresso with a splash of milk added, it translates as 'marked or stained'. We thought it would be so fun to turn this coffee into a cocktail and here it is….a Martini Macchiato!
It's so easy to make, no need to make sugar syrups so it's quick too.
It's cold and creamy with a frothy top, suited to sipping on at Christmas time but pretty solid all year round too.
Ingredients – what you need
See the photo below that shows you everything you need to make this recipe plus some important tips on ingredients!

- Espresso – use good quality coffee for best flavour (we always go for 100% arabica). You can use a coffee machine, Moka pot or French Press make sure it's a strong espresso and not watered down.
- Kaluha – this is our favourite coffee liqueur to use and pretty easy to find.
- Vodka – We like absolute vodka for this although it's not a deal breaker. You don't need to use a extra expensive vodka but don't use the cheapest either because they don't taste great.
- Bailey's – you can use any brand of Irish cream liqueur.
Step by step photos and recipe instructions
